Choose One Word to Describe the UAE
What is one word to describe the United Arab Emirates? The possibilities are endless. Hot, Skyscrapers, Diverse, Bedouin, Opportunity…
December 2022 Prayer Requests
December 1 and 2 are holidays here in the UAE. December 1st is Commemoration Day when the country remembers soldiers and civil servants who have died in service. It just became a national holiday in 2015. December 2nd is National Day. There will be events, celebrations and fireworks. Many residents will take advantage to travel or head to a resort with the 2 days off falling at the beginning of the weekend.
Happy Thanksgiving!
Thanksgiving or holidays similar are celebrated in many countries during the autumn months such as Canada, the United Kingdom, Brazil, and Australia to name a few. Tomorrow is Thanksgiving in the United States. Several believers living in the UAE were asked what they are thankful for.
Neighborhood Parks
Urbanization of this corner of the Arabian Desert has brought not only skyscrapers and roads, but also the beautiful areas like neighborhood parks. Here, sand surrounds you up to the edge of the Persian Gulf. Most villa type homes and buildings are sand colored. The absence of a spectrum of colors is something residents mention.
Glorious Weather and Conversations

A simple hello and smile began the conversation. Our children enjoyed playing together so the conversation continued for a while.
